DeVry Greenhouses
Founded in 1932 by Dirk de Vrij in the Netherlands, DeVry Greenhouses began as a family-run operation growing tomatoes and lettuce. In the late 1940s, Dirk’s son Arie joined the business, eventually steering the company towards the cultivation of cut gerberas. In 1989, recognizing opportunities for growth, the de Vrij family relocated their operations to Canada.
Today, DeVry Greenhouses has become a top bedding plant and nursery supplier with operations in British Columbia and Alberta, shipping across North America. They offer everything from bedding plants, indoor plants, herbs, and vegetables to evergreen trees, shrubs, and holiday programs.
Since 1993, DeVry has been offering their Growing Smiles fundraising programs through their plant sales to schools, charities and community groups.
